
You may view or download your videos in Knowmia until July 29, 2022, when the vendor will take the platform offline permanently. JMU Libraries will download and store all existing Knowmia videos beginning May 20, 2022. is the final date that you will be able to upload new videos to Knowmia. What you need to know about your Knowmia videos: It is available to all JMU faculty, staff, and students who have a Canvas account. Many of the features that were available in TechSmith Knowmia, such as viewing analytics and interactive quizzing, are available in Canvas Studio. Click Upload to upload the capture to Knowmia. Hover your cursor over the capture to upload and click Open. Note: To select where to upload if you have multiple TechSmith destinations (Knowmia, Screencast), click the icon and select Destination. If the video is removed from YouTube, it will no longer be available in Knowmia. The video is not copied into your Knowmia Library. Knowmia links and adds the video to My Library or the selected folder after processing.
Paste the video URL into the YouTube URL field and click Import. Select Upload dropdown > Import from YouTube. To edit the captions for videos created in Camtasia, select the Accessibility tab and click the Edit button. The media uploads to My Library after processing. In Snagit or Camtasia, select Share (Snagit) or Export (Camtasia) > TechSmith Knowmia. Download the latest version of Camtasia or Snagit. Note: You must have Snagit Windows version 2020.1.3 or later, Snagit Mac version 2020.1.4 or later, or Camtasia version 2020.0.4 or later installed. The file(s) appear in My Library or the selected folder.
